Privacy Notice

Last updated: 6 July 2026

1. Who we are

EARLYWIRE ("we", "us") operates the EARLYWIRE websites, applications, APIs and alerting service (the "Service"). We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: info@earlywire.io.

2. What we collect

Account data. Your email address as you typed it, a normalized form of it (used internally to prevent duplicate accounts and free-trial abuse), your authentication identifier (Firebase UID), display name where provided, account status, plan and subscription state, and sign-in/entitlement timestamps.

Billing data. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and subscription status. We never see or store your card number — card details go directly to Stripe, whose own privacy policy applies to payment processing.

Delivery settings. If you configure alert delivery, we store what you enter: webhook URLs, Slack webhook URLs, Telegram chat identifiers, severity/area/ticker filters.

Desk chat, ideas and feedback. Messages you post to the shared desk chat (retained for approximately 7 days), suggestions/votes/comments on the ideas board, and private feedback you submit (including the page you sent it from).

Usage and technical data. Authentication and API/WebSocket access events, service telemetry (timestamps, latency measurements), and the technical logs any web service generates (IP address, user agent) at our edge and hosting providers.

We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on the Service. Browser storage is used for essential purposes only: keeping you signed in and remembering interface preferences.

3. Why we process it (legal bases)

To provide the Service (contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): accounts, authentication, entitlements, billing state, alert delivery, chat and the ideas board.

To protect the Service (legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f)): abuse prevention (duplicate-account normalization, blocking disposable email domains, rate limits), security monitoring, debugging and service telemetry.

To comply with law (Art. 6(1)(c)): tax, accounting and record-keeping obligations connected to payments.

4. Who processes it for us

We use a small set of processors to run the Service: Google Cloud (hosting, EU region) and Google Firebase (authentication), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (network edge and security), and Netlify (website hosting). Each processes data under its own data-processing terms. Some providers may transfer data outside the EU/EEA under recognized safeguards (adequacy decisions, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses).

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires disclosure or to protect our legal rights.

5. How long we keep it

Account and billing records: for the life of the account and thereafter as required by tax/accounting law. Desk-chat messages: ~7 days. Feedback, suggestions and votes: for as long as they are relevant to the product. Technical telemetry and raw tracking data: pruned on short rolling windows. Encrypted backups: ~14 days. When you delete your account (or ask us to), we delete or anonymize your personal data except what we must keep by law.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing, data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to info@earlywire.io — we answer within the statutory deadlines. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; for us that is the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ, uoou.gov.cz), or the authority of your own EU country of residence.

7. Security

Data in transit is encrypted (TLS); access to production systems is restricted and authenticated; payment credentials never touch our infrastructure. No internet service can promise perfect security — see the Terms for the corresponding disclaimers.

8. Children

The Service is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly process children's data.

9. Changes

We will post changes to this notice here and update the date above; material changes will also be announced in-app or by email.
